Sand, beach lounge chairs, beach umbrella, sun glasses, hat, towels and sound system
Absolutely tropical was an experiment to evaluate the behavior of the public in the actual art world as a reflection of his daily behavior. I was interest in showing how the reproduction of a tropical landscape - a beach scene- could provoke in the viewer a particular relation with the work and with the other spectators at the gallery or any exhibition space. The nature of an art piece could determine how it is seen by the public, but I believe the viewer’s sensibility and knowledge sometimes determine its ultimate comprehension. The way that society, segments or generations of people interact and value artist and their creations is just a reflection of what we are and says a lot about ourselves.
